Guidelines for Funeral Services:

The loss of a loved one is heartbreaking and we at First Baptist are doing all that we can so those who attend the funeral do not get sick! As we are all aware, we are all trying to prevent the spread of Covid19, a highly contagious and potentially deadly virus. Therefore, we continue to monitor and are following CDC and local government guidelines.
The following special guidelines have been developed in response to CDC guidelines and relevant legislation for responding to the Covid Pandemic The maximum number of people allowed to attend funeral services: including Pastor and church staff, should be 150 (140 families/friends and 10 church staff). The overflow capacity in the Fellowship Hall is 50 people. Who should not be attending: People who have Covid19 or who are in isolation; people who don’t feel well or have a fever/temperature; people who are in a high risk group (over 50; health problems). These are some precautions that we are taking so please share with family members who will be attending funeral services:
● Please always try to maintain social distance.
● Enter and exit the church building through the main entrance only.
● ALL attendees must put on a mask before entering the building and wear it throughout the service. The church will provide mask to those who do not have one upon arrival.
● ALL attendees must sanitize their hands once they enter the building
● ALL attendees must always maintain a social distance of six (6) feet; the exception is
a family group that lives together.
● There will be no choirs/singing at this time because of the potential to spread the virus.
● Please use designated restrooms only.

                                     Additional Guidelines for Viewing:
● The 3-hour time limit for the viewing / wake has been restored.
● There will be no loitering or gathering in the foyer.
Not only are we here with you to mourn the loss loved and to celebrate his/her homegoing, but
we are also seeking to maintain a healthy environment for all! So please let us know if you have
any other questions or concerns.
